Joe Drivas: โ€œAfter a lingerie shoot, in a shy manner, I asked Gia if I could do a small test shoot with her.ย  She smiled at me, with the most natural smile I had ever seen, and asked me what I wanted her to do.โ€

โ€œI replied, โ€œJust be yourself and I will do the restโ€.ย  She then proceeded to pose, all the time smiling and laughing as we shot.ย  Towards the end of the five-minute shoot, I asked her to just look at me and place her arm above her head.ย  That was when, in a brief moment, I saw this image and captured it.ย  It has been in my portfolio, both then and now, as most favorite image of all time.ย  This is the first time that I have posted this image publicly.โ€ย  ย https://www.facebook.com/groups/HeartandSoulGiaCarangi/

Joe: โ€œIโ€™m 62 years old and still to this day, I have never met anyone like Gia.ย  As photographers, we all capture our once-in-a-lifetime-image that stays with us forever, and this is one of them.ย  I believe that it was taken some time between 1978-1980.ย  Back at that time, we didnโ€™t have the luxury of looking at the back of the screen to confirm the shot โ€ฆ which would have caused me to miss that moment in time.โ€
