Gia’s star shooting star is in mid-flight already. This shoot was in September. Gia had only just started doing her first go-sees the end of February. She just came back from a 2 1/2 week booking in Europe for Harper’s Bazaar Italia the beginning of August.
She just came back from vacation in Capri. The owner of Harper’s Bazaar Italia, Giuseppe Della Schiava (went by “Peponi”) and Lizzette Kattan, Fashion Editor had grown so fond of Gia, that they invited her to stay at Peponi’s castle on the island of Capri, all expenses paid.
Gia had vacation plans to spend Labor Day week in Atlantic City with her friends from Philly. She had to decide between a week “down the shore” and her second free trip to Italy. She chose Italy. Gia was treated well and became close with Lizzette, Gia started calling her “Mommy”. Gia met an older man from Italian royalty that Gia nicknamed “The Prince”, he fell madly in love with her. He would have married her.
The week after Gia returns from her whirlwind vacation in Capri, Gia ended up in Atlantic City after all, for this photo shoot.
