The Wilhelmina agency was at Thirty-seventh and Fifth. Until Gia and Suzanne could find an apartment, Gia would stay at the Barbizon Hotel at Sixty-third and Lexington. Until Gia figured out the subway, she would just take cabs.

The building was converted into GORGEOUS condos in 1987. Beekman Condominiums in Lenox Hill.

After her Fourth Street apartment, Gia moved into this apartment building, November 1980.
She moved out four months later, February 1981, moved back to Philadelphia to give her first try at outpatient drug rehab.
This Apartment building is located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood, Eastside, Midtown Manhattan. Across the street from the apartment building that both Sandy Linter and Andrea Blanch lived.
A 2 1/2 block walk heading east on 52nd street, you end up at the dead end where Gia had been photographed by Andrea Blanch years before. The infamous 1978 “DEAD END” photos by Andrea Blanch.

After a few months of commuting from Philly to New York when she had a booking, Gia started looking for an apartment back in New York. She moved into “The Van Gogh” building where Harry King lived, May 3, 1982.

Nice to see where Gia lived, you can almost imagine her walking down the streets and picture what she may have seen (although a lot has changed since then).
I love looking at NYC on GoogleMaps too investigating where she would have possibly walked tv – thank you !!!
Oh, I was imagining that while I was working on this page. I really imagined walking down to the dead end and looking out over the river.
